Connection is what Katie Kurtz is all about. As an Internationally Certified Coach, dynamic speaker, and community builder, Katie's authentic spirit and gift as a connector allows her to create brave spaces both in person and online for womxn to be themselves and build an imperfectly empowering community. Katie is the founder of Her Turn, Co. and the creator of The Gatherings℠ , a signature monthly event that redefines how womxn connect to themselves and each other. You can also find Katie sharing her realness as the co-host of The Human Hour Podcast available on iTunes and Sound Cloud. Katie resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her boyfriend and 14 year old pup, Sherman.

Education + Background

  • Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervision Designation, State of Ohio

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work and Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University

  • Internationally Certified Life Coach with the Beautiful You Coaching Academy

  • Registered 200 Hour Yoga Teacher from Awake to My Soul, Yoga Alliance Member

  • Additional trainings in: LEAN Six Sigma, emotional intelligence, trauma informed care, advocacy and activism, crisis intervention and response

  • Extensive work history in the nonprofit, healthcare and government sectors focusing on program development, community outreach and education, podcast production, policy, grant management, local and national political campaigns, training and education.
